You are invited to come and rub a little elbow grease on some maintenance and improvement projects. Some 30 maintenance and improvement projects have been completed at the house each of the last three years during these work days. The house looks great, but it is a 60 year old property, so it does require continual attention. Projects of this type are done very frugally, with funds from the active chapter. What can be termed “capital improvements,” such as the recent replacement of the heating and air conditioning system, necessitates alumni support. And, although reduced significantly in the last few years, we “still” have a mortgage on our property of some $98,000. If you have the financial wherewithal to support the capital improvements, or to pay down the mortgage, please utilize the convenient donation designation below.
Thursday, August 10th - Work starts at Noon, show up with any tools you may have. Steve will have a punch list of items, you pick what you are comfortable doing and then grab some actives to help you. (Some of you may be the perfect foreman for the job.) Friday - Saturday, usually we don't start till 9am. Then take a lunch break around noon and knock off in the evening for supper and hanging out with fellow alums and sharing some stories of the good o'l days. Grab a group of your buddies or just show up and make some new friends, all are welcome.
